An exhibition of unique wearable pieces of contemporary art, a delight to the eye!
An initiative of the Contemporary Art Society of Victoria Inc.
You are cordially invited to the OPENING & LAUNCH of the seventh annual Australian National Brooch Show on Saturday 12 April, 12 Noon at the Fitzroy Library, 128 Moor Street, Fitzroy (Melbourne)
The 2nd largest exhibition of contemporary Brooches anywhere in the world!
See 278 pieces of contemporary wearable art - created by artists from regional, rual and metropolitan Australia, demonstrating the talents of artists from across our nation!
Many of these exquisite works are created, carved or formed from materials such as wood, felted wool, porcelain, resin, bone, acrylic, ebony, glass, copper, silver, agate, enamel, steel, textiles, leather, silk, watercolours, clay, paper, laminates, pearls, plastic, feathers and gold, including 2 dimensional works created in textiles, acrylic, oil, etching, linocut, inkjet print, pencil and mixed media!
This beautiful showcase of pieces of wearable art only comes together in this special show, once a year! (Thanks to a team of generous artist volunteers) so don't miss out on this chance to buy a unique small wearable artwork, and at very affordable prices (median price around $40).
